The NSW Landcare Enabling Program 2024 State Gathering kicked off this Monday, with National Landcare Network’s Mel Tyas, National Landcare Facilitator, in attendance, gaining the opportunity to connect with the over 160 Landcarers and community partners who attended.

Den Barber, Aboriginal Partnerships Manager NSW, along with Aunty Leanne King opened the event with a Welcome to Country Smoking Ceremony against the beautiful harbour backdrop at Q Station in Manly.

The event provided participants with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Landcare Enabling Program, forge meaningful new connections, and acquire fresh knowledge and ideas while exploring this year’s them ‘adaptation and innovation’.

The three full days offered a wide variety of speakers and topics and included regional Landcare representatives presenting on projects being undertaken in their areas, funding and partnerships, and ways to collaborate to implement adaption and innovation for the betterment of Landcare.

The event is an initiative of the NSW Landcare Enabling Program, and collaboration between Landcare NSW and Local Land Services NSW supported by the NSW Government.
