National Landcare Week August 5 - 12

Blog | 26 Jul 2024 |

During National Landcare Week we’ll be recognising the hard work and dedication of our members and supporters who make a real difference in our community and environment.

This year's theme is Landcare is for Everyone (L.I.F.E) - highlighting that any community-led group working on environmental projects are part of Landcare and can get involved in Landcare Week 2024 to promote their great work.

Whether you're work involves Coastcare, bushcare, dunecare, rivercare, or being part of a ‘Friends of’ or Junior Landcare group, every effort to preserve, restore and enhance our natural environment makes a difference. This also includes groups such as farmers, landholders, First Nations organisations, Landcare facilitators and coordinators, youth groups, researchers, academics, and government agencies.

Landcare Week is also an opportunity to create awareness of Landcare to inspire people to get involved and volunteer and get connected to their local communities. Help get the word out about all of the amazing work happening in our communities by sharing your stories and by tagging us on Facebook and Instagram @NationalLandcareNetwork so we can share your stories on our platforms too.
